What information does Janexfbi need to prepare an accurate Dating Safety Background Report?

The mandatory information we need for The Dating Safety Background Report is Your date’s First Name, Last Name, and Residential Address.

We're adding an "Additional Information" section to the form, but don't worry, it's not mandatory! This section is especially helpful for dates with common names or living in large cities, where pinpointing them might need a little extra boost. Not sure what to include in the Additional Information section? Here are some ideas: phone numbers, date of birth or birthday (month and day), nicknames, social media handles, workplace information, unique hobbies, links to mentions in articles, or any other noteworthy details that could aid our search.

What information does Janexfbi need to prepare an accurate Dating Safety Photo Validation Report?

The only information Janexfbi needs for The Dating Safety Photo Validation Report is the photo You would like us to research. Keep in mind, You will only be able to upload one photo per order.

What if I don’t have the mandatory information?

Contact us at team@janexfbi.com. We will contact You to discuss Your options.

How do I provide Janexfbi with the mandatory information for the Report?

Once You click Order Now to purchase a Report, an Order Form will appear in a pop-up window. Just complete the mandatory fields, and the optional fields if You would like, and hit submit. We will get Your information and get to work right away.

What if my date uses a different first name or uses their middle name as their first name?

The information provided in The Dating Safety Report is based on the information supplied by the client on the Order Form. If Your date used a variation of the details provided on the Order Form, the research may not associate your date with the variation, and therefore not include information related to the affected categories. Please be sure to have accurate information when ordering a Dating Safety Report.

How did Janexfbi select the categories to include in The Dating Safety Background Report?

We're meticulous about the information we include in The Dating Safety Background Report. We only chose categories where our expertise and advanced technology can provide you with the most accurate and reliable insights.

Some categories that are not included in The Dating Safety Background Report, including whether Your date is married or has a criminal history, are really important to dating safety. BUT, those are categories that can be very challenging, if impossible, to properly research. See specific FAQs on the categories of marriage and criminal histories.

How accurate is the information in The Dating Safety Background Report?

The Dating Safety Background Report provides information that is as complete, as timely, and as accurate as information available to the public.

Most of the public records we rely upon are from the government. Here is the caveat. More than 25% of federal, state and county government agencies do not provide public records online. Less than 50% of the courts provide online/onsite search equivalency to docket lookups. Our information is very accurate, but due to the nature of public records, the data returned may not be timely and may have errors. Not only that, but, at the government level, data is sometimes entered or processed incorrectly. This system should not be relied upon as 100% accurate.

How often are the records that Janexfbi relies upon updated?

The data sourced by Janexfbi is a combination of more than 65 billion records from more than 11 million different data sources. Data sources are updated daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.

Will information about minors be provided?

No. No information about when the Search Subject was a minor is provided because that information is confidential and our research data sources do not include any information about minors. There may be information in Your Report that You believe is information about the subject as a minor. This information may coincide with information about the subject as an adulthood. For example, an address may appear in the search results for a Search Subject who grew up at one location and lived there into adulthood, when records in public databases began collecting data points. If You are concerned that You have received confidential information related to a minor, please contact us at team@janexfbi.com.

Are criminal histories included in Your Dating Safety search results?

For a researcher outside of law enforcement, it is practically impossible to obtain a complete criminal history on an individual.

Part of the problem is that there are thousands of jurisdictions in the United States with arrest authority. Some jurisdictions provide online access to the information. Some don’t. Some jurisdictions upload their arrest data at varying intervals. Some never do.

Although adult criminal records are public records in the United States, only law enforcement has access to databases that show all arrests and convictions across all jurisdictions. The FBI database with this information is NCIC (National Crime Information Center) and includes active outstanding warrants and criminal histories.

So, for private investigators or researchers to research criminal histories, we first need to know where to search. An address history definitely helps – then each state, county and municipality must be searched individually. As an example, say we have an address for Your date, John Catfish, that appeared in the Address History section of The Dating Safety Bootcamp. The next step is to research the state records for a criminal history. Then the county or local municipalities must be researched to determine whether their arrest records are online. If those records aren’t online, an in-person trip would be required.

BUT, after all that time researching and potential expense, Your date, John Catfish, may have been arrested in the county adjacent to his residence or somewhere else in the country or world and there is no actual method for obtaining this information for those of us not in law enforcement.

So, Janexfbi decided not to include a criminal history section in its Report because we can’t verify the results with any degree of certainty. If You would like information about how a private investigator would perform a criminal history, please contact Jane at jane@janexfbi.com.

Are marriage records included in Your Dating Safety Background Report search results?

It seems a straightforward solution to simply check online to see if someone is married but, sadly, it is not that simple. Depending on the jurisdiction, You might need to know the full name of both spouses or know whether to look in city or county records where the individual got married or even know the date of the marriage.

Complicating matters even further, states like California and Michigan allow marriage records to be shielded from the public through what’s known as “confidential” or “secret” marriages. This means that, without a judge’s intervention, a couple’s marriage license and certificate will not even appear to exist. Short of obtaining a court order, no amount of research or investigation can help with discovering these types of marriages.

So, is it possible to learn if someone is married? Even for a private investigator, this is a hit or miss kind of research. Here’s why. There is a great deal of information online that will indicate whether a person is/was married.  These records are:

·      Mortgage records indicating the spousal property

·      Tax records revealing a spouse’s name

·      Genealogy records detailing a spousal connection

·      Social media posts and photographs linking someone to a spouse

While this information can provide marital information, there is no guarantee that Your date has any of these records online. Then if some information is located, more research needs to be conducted to know if that information is current.

So, Janexfbi does not nclude a marriages section in its Reports because we are unable to verify the results with any degree of certainty. If You would like more information about how a private investigator would perform a marriage check, please contact Jane at jane@janexfbi.com.
